Why we love it

  • Architecturally striking with silvery globes atop a tall stem.
  • Narrow, yucca-like leaves give the plant a distinctive, almost otherworldly look
  • Seed heads persist into fall, extending seasonal interest

Why wildlife loves it

  • Flowers attract a wide diversity of pollinators
  • Host plant for the Rattlesnake Master Borer Moth
  • Dried seed heads feed birds and shelter overwintering insects

Fun to see

  • Look for beneficial wasps drinking nectar—many help control garden pests
What to expect at pickup

Ground covers and ferns are sold as young, well rooted plugs. Shrubs are sold in 1 gallon containers.

Because this is a fall collection, some plants may have limited foliage or may be beginning to enter dormancy at pickup. This is a normal seasonal change. Their roots are healthy and ready to establish after planting.
