Why we love it
- A compact selection of Joe-Pye Weed that delivers the same pollinator appeal in a more garden-friendly size
- Large mauve-pink flower clusters create a strong focal point from midsummer into fall
- Dark stems and whorled leaves add structure and interest even before the flowers open
Why wildlife loves it
- An important late-season nectar source for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators
- Frequently visited by swallowtails, monarchs, fritillaries, and native bees
- Provides valuable nectar when many summer flowers begin to fade
Fun to see
Large butterflies often gather on the flower clusters, sometimes sharing a single bloom head with dozens of other pollinators.
What to expect at pickup
Ground covers and ferns are sold as young, well rooted plugs. Shrubs are sold in 1 gallon containers.
Because this is a fall collection, some plants may have limited foliage or may be beginning to enter dormancy at pickup. This is a normal seasonal change. Their roots are healthy and ready to establish after planting.
