Why we love it
- Tall perennial that brings height and structure to shade gardens
- White flowers rise above the foliage like feathers, creating a soft, cloud-like presence in late May and June
- Deeply cut, ferny foliage adds texture even when not in bloom
Why wildlife loves it
- Flowers provide nectar and pollen for a range of pollinators
- Host plant for several species of moths
- Dense foliage provides shelter and habitat
Fun to see
- Each feathery bloom is made of hundreds of tiny flowers, drawing in a range of pollinators
What to expect at pickup
Ground covers and ferns are sold as young, well rooted plugs. Shrubs are sold in 1 gallon containers.
Because this is a fall collection, some plants may have limited foliage or may be beginning to enter dormancy at pickup. This is a normal seasonal change. Their roots are healthy and ready to establish after planting.
