- Blooms early, from April into May, when little else is in flower
- Blue-green foliage looks good well beyond bloom
- Readily self-seeds to gently fill in open spaces
Why wildlife loves it
- One of the earliest nectar sources for migrating hummingbirds

- Birds eat the seeds
Fun to see
- Hummingbirds hovering as they feed will flap their wings 50 times per second
What to expect at pickup
Ground covers and ferns are sold as young, well rooted plugs. Shrubs are sold in 1 gallon containers.
Because this is a fall collection, some plants may have limited foliage or may be beginning to enter dormancy at pickup. This is a normal seasonal change. Their roots are healthy and ready to establish after planting.
